SUPER SEAWIND FLIGHT TO FABULOUS MAINE
SUPER SEAWIND FLIGHT TO FABULOUS MAINE The lakes there are full of fish and the water is warm enough to play in. In September I flew my Super Seawind N71RJ 400 miles to Moosehead, an iconic 47-mile-long lake in northern Maine. Flying a mile high over one lake after another in my Seawind was like a dream. Also, I imagined landing in one, taxiing Super Seawind N71RJ onto a beach, fishing from my inflatable kayak while absorbing astounding beauty all around me. However, that would have to wait till another summer. Also Bradford Camp, for instance, is definitely on my ideal wish list. https://bradfordcamps.com/
Loons calling on Maine Outdoor Lakes
Now, have you ever dreamed of being where all your worries melt away with the first morning sun? I have. I have awakened to the sounds of loons echoing around a lake, songbirds singing and lake water lapping the shore. Also, it did not matter to me whether I was camping or staying at a lodge. A powerful dose of nature was my medicine and my cure from a noisy city life. I no longer concerned myself with finances, traffic, emails, phone calls. Here in the wilds of Maine, none of them exist anyway.
Maine Public Parks
Furthermore, for its scenic shores you just can’t beat Acadia National Park. https://www.nps.gov/acad/index.htm

Today I yearn for trips soon to back of beyond to public fingered lands in lakes like the Maine Woods National Monument and Baxter State Park . https://baxterstatepark.org/. Both are life-memory trips best taken with my friends. These are places of awesome beauty.
At 200 MPH, 1RJ will take me to almost anywhere in Maine from suburban Boston within two hours – even to any lake I want. Maybe I’ll even find a lodge or two to hang my head. Moreover, with a ten-foot cargo space, I can pack up lots of gear and easily disappear for a week or more. Can you think of a better getaway for a suburban pilot? (If you do please let me know.)
Moreover, I yearn to return to Maine friends and blue waters. And yes, I know, with a healthy. dinner of fresh trout melting in my mouth all my troubles will melt too. No mask, no fears, just blue skies, and rejuvenation with smiles all around and an assist from mother nature’s helping hand. Finally, what’s my top wilderness favorite? https://www.nps.gov/kaww/index.htm
